More than just a period kit, the Period Pocket celebrates an important milestone in growing up.

Why have we created the Period Pocket?

As a mum of 2 girls, I wanted to create something I wish every girl could receive as she approaches her first period.

As parents, it isn't always easy to know when to start the conversation, what to say, or how best to prepare our daughters for this new stage in their lives.

And for girls, a first period can bring a whole mix of emotions - curiosity, excitement, uncertainty and a few nerves too.

The Period Pocket was created to make that moment feel different.

Yes! Every Period Pocket includes two pairs of period underwear in your chosen style and size. Choose the fit she'll feel most comfortable and confident wearing.

Choose Iris if you're looking for a style designed specifically with teens and pre-teens in mind. Its bikini cut feels familiar and lightweight, making it a lovely choice for first periods.

Choose Raya if you prefer a classic hipster-style period pant that feels close to everyday underwear. It's a versatile, comfortable all-rounder.

How absorbent are the period underwear?

Our reusable period underwear is designed for light to heavy flow depending on the style you go for. Period underwear can be worn on its own or alongside other menstrual products as confidence grows. The product page for each underwear style includes more detailed absorbency information.

How do I wash them?

After wearing, soak or rinse the underwear in cold water until the water runs clear. Machine wash at 40°C with similar colours and allow them to air dry. Avoid fabric softener and tumble drying, as these can affect the absorbent layers.
